Mark Weiss, a creative force in Wisconsin’s hospitality scene, has built a collection of standout venues that combine quality, atmosphere, and thoughtful design. His journey began with Badger Burger Co. in Mukwonago—an elevated take on the classic American burger restaurant. Known for its hearty food and welcoming vibe, Badger Burger quickly became a staple in the community.

From there, Mark expanded with The Porch Bar and The Studio Martini Lounge, both located in the same building right next door to Badger Burger. Designed and conceptualized entirely by Weiss, these two distinct spaces offer something for everyone. The Porch Bar exudes rustic comfort with a spacious, open-air feel, perfect for cocktails and casual gatherings. Just steps away, The Studio Martini Lounge offers a more refined setting with sleek, modern decor and a focus on expertly crafted martinis. Together, the venues create a dynamic destination that reflects Mark’s passion for ambiance and guest experience.

Most recently, he brought his vision to Burlington with the opening of The Plush Horse Bourbon and Martini Lounge, a modern tribute to the original Plush Horse cocktail lounge that once thrived in the 1950s–1970s. Once again, Mark led the design with history in mind—blending rich, vintage-inspired interiors with a contemporary bourbon and martini menu.

Through each venture, Mark Weiss has demonstrated a unique ability to fuse nostalgia with innovation, creating spaces that honor the past while offering something fresh and memorable for today’s guests.
